  At the Manitoba Theatre for Young People, there are many exciting shows this year, such as The Hobbit, (October ages 5-teen) Shake it up, (November ages 11 to teen)  The House at Pooh Corner, (December 2011 ages 3 to 10) and Buru (April 2012 ages 10 and up)

The Nonsuch

. In 1668, the original Nonsuch sailed into Hudson Bay in search of furs. The voyage not only led to the founding of the Hudson’s Bay Company two years later, but was instrumental in establishing commerce in western Canada. Built in England to celebrate the tricentennial of the Hudson’s Bay Company in 1970, theNonsuch is considered one of the finest replicas in the world, and sailed 14,000 kilometres of salt and fresh water before finding a home at the Museum.

FREE behind-the-scenes tours. See how the dioramas are put together and take a special visit to one of their vaults! Only ten spots daily, come right at 10 am to secure your spot. Tours start at 11:00 am Monday to Friday. FREE daily guided tours (including weekends) at 12:00 and 2:30pm.
